Minutes of the Original Circles Board Meeting on 3/8/2008

Present:

Board:  Bob, Larry, John, Jacci, Sue, Annette, Rhonda, Jeff, Mike, Ginnie, Jimmy, Michelle

Members: Darren

Meeting opened at 18:00 with the President in the Chair and the Secretary being present. The meetings of the last minute were read and approved.

Reports of Offices, Boards and Standing Committees

Jacci presented the treasurers report. Larry moved to accept. Motion Passed.

Committee Reports

Sue requested assistance on email for Outreach committee.  Annette agreed to assist Sue with email and web duties.

Unfinished Business and General Orders

Dance pass expiration, tabled from previous meeting pending Jacci’s report and legal and accounting requirements.  Larry moved to table discussion until next meeting. Motion passed.

New Business

Larry moved that Hotel Key discount be discontinued.  Count was requested, 7 Aye, 4 Nay. After debate the motion was adopted.

John moved that Orientation discount be discontinued. Count was requested, 7 Aye, 4 Nay. After debate the motion was adopted.

Larry moved that Memorial Day dance (May 24^th) be cancelled.  After debate the motion was adopted.

Darren moved to cancel the July 13^th dance. On motion of Jaccie, the motion to cancel the July 13th dance was postponed to next meeting.

Mike moved to cancel the August 12^th dance. On motion of Larry, the motion to cancel the August 12th dance was postponed to next meeting.

John moved to adjourn. Motion passed.
